Measure what is actually delayed
Play a familiar scene where a person is speaking. Decide whether the voice is early or late compared with mouth movement. Then try another programme or app. If one title is affected, a global soundbar delay adjustment may make everything else worse.
Check your audio route
A television speaker, Bluetooth headphones, soundbar and AV receiver can each add different processing delays. Test the TV’s built-in speaker if possible, then reconnect accessories one at a time. Wireless headphones may have more latency than a wired or HDMI audio path.
Adjust sync in small steps
Look for Audio Delay, AV Sync or Lip Sync settings on the television, media box or soundbar. Change one control at a time and write down the original value so you can revert. Some controls only delay audio further and cannot correct speech that is already late.
When settings are not the solution
If sync drifts progressively during a single programme, the app or source may be struggling. Restart playback, update the legitimate app and check network stability. Report the device, output route and title if the issue remains reproducible.
Quick checklist
Use this short list before changing settings or contacting support:
- Test the same scene on TV speakers
- Compare a second app
- Change only one audio-delay control
- Record when the mismatch starts
