Identify the webOS version
LG smart televisions generally use webOS, but the menus and supported applications differ across generations and countries. Look in your TV’s settings for the model and software version. Check that the TV is connected to the internet before starting, and search the application provider’s compatibility guidance if available.
Search the official LG app store
Open the LG home screen, find Apps or the LG content store, and search for your chosen legitimate streaming application. View the app’s information and install it if supported. Do not confuse buying an app with buying television content: these may be separate transactions. Use the provider’s official sign-in method.
When the application does not appear
First confirm the exact app name and that you are searching the TV store, not your phone. Availability may depend on television generation or regional licensing. Apply TV updates and try again, but do not assume a factory reset will make an unsupported application available. An external device may offer different supported apps.
Fix app performance problems
Close unnecessary apps, restart the television and check Wi-Fi stability. If only one app is affected, look for an app update or reinstall it using the official store. Keep purchase receipts and account details somewhere secure so you can restore access without giving passwords to an unknown helper.
Quick checklist
Use this short list before changing settings or contacting support:
- Confirm LG model and webOS version
- Use the TV’s official app store
- Check regional and app compatibility
- Restart and update before a full reset
