Find your exact TV model first
Look under the television’s Settings, About, Support or Device Information menu. Write down the brand, model code and software version. These details matter more than the phrase “smart TV”. Two televisions with similar names may run different software or have different app availability.
Check the television’s own app store
Samsung televisions use Samsung’s TV app platform, while many other manufacturers use their own systems or Google TV/Android TV. Search the built-in store for the official app you need. Samsung’s UK help centre notes that app installation and management steps can vary by model, so use brand guidance for specific menu steps.
If you cannot find the app, do not assume you can safely install an unrelated APK meant for a phone.
What if the built-in TV does not support the app?
An external, compatible HDMI streaming device can be simpler than replacing your television. Compare the device’s app store and supported services before buying hardware. Casting from a phone may be an option for some supported apps, but it is not a universal replacement for a proper TV app.
Questions to send before ordering
Tell the provider the exact model, your country and whether you want one or several simultaneous streams. Ask for confirmation of the supported app, any additional device costs and service restrictions. For a basic device comparison see IPTVRESTREAM device guidance.
